Stucco is comprised of sand, cement, lime, and water, however if it is not properly installed you risk cracks in your stucco. If you are looking to install wood siding, it is recommended that you use pine because of its durability. Vinyl siding is comparably the least expensive, however versatile as it can be installed on top of existing materials. Those materials can include, but are not limited to asphalt shingles, metal, slate or clay tiles, and other viable materials. The most durable material is a slate roof, however it is also the most expensive. A slate roof can last up to 150 years is properly cared for, whereas an asphalt roof will last around 25 years.
