Custom homes generally take 8–12 months. Every project we take on gets a written schedule at the start, and we tell you up front if permitting or long-lead materials will affect the dates.

Yes. We pull the required permits and coordinate inspections with your municipality. This matters more than people realize: in Wisconsin the permit holder carries responsibility for code compliance, so you want it in the contractor's name, not yours. Be cautious of any contractor who asks you to pull your own permit.
Older homes sometimes hide rot, mold, outdated wiring, or failing plumbing behind finished walls. When we find something, we stop, show you exactly what we found, and give you a written change order with the cost before we proceed. Nothing gets added to your bill without your approval. We also recommend setting aside a 10–15% contingency on any remodel of an older home.
